Norbro set the standard as the first manufacturer to incorporate support rods within the actuator design, ensuring that any side loads from the pistons are transferred through bearings in the end cap rather than the actuator body. This innovation allows the body bore to serve exclusively as a sealing surface, not a bearing surface, significantly extending the actuator's lifespan. This distinctive design sets Norbro actuators apart from conventional rack and pinion models, delivering exceptional reliability, longevity, and performance.

Norbro actuators are also engineered with safety and maintenance in mind. The spring mechanism is designed to safely release force when the end cap is removed, eliminating the need for special tools. Standard NAMUR VDI/VDE 3845 mounting patterns on the top and end caps enable easy installation and interchangeability of switches, positioners, solenoids, direct port connections, and other accessories to suit various applications.
Maintenance is straightforward and does not require special fixtures, ensuring minimal downtime and enhanced operational efficiency.
